The watch had to go in for service and Breitling suggested to replace the movement. I agreed as quartz watches have only a finite lifespan and I was concerned that at a later time a movement change might no longer be possible. The early models, with the same size lower display as the upper display, are easy to fix because you can still purchase a new movement for less than 0. Our restoration process begins with a full movement service and overhaul if necessary to inspect each and every piece of the movement. Next, each piece is cleaned, lubricated and put back together. I recently used Rocco to replace a water damaged movement in my Aerospace as he is Breitling approved. He will strip the watch and send a detailed estimate before carrying out the work. The total bill including service was about £650 including refurbing the case & bracelet, service and module replacement. Breitling will service the watch to like brand new condition. You would only have problems if they needed to replace the movement and they didn't have one in stock. I believe Breitling have lots of spare parts.
