Then I copy the image to any of the drives located on my NAS at \server\ and begin the install on the SSD. When the install is done, copy the files from the NAS to the new system. I have a second laptop. Thinkpad T480 that has a 256GB nvme drive with Windows 10 21H1 64-bit UEFI on it. I want to clone that drive to a larger 1TB Sata SSD. Then use that Sata drive in the Thinkpad. And this is how I did that: Switched off secure boot in the Thinkpad Bios and booted from a Macrium Reflect Free v8 rescue USB key.
1. Lenovo ThinkPad T480s Boot from USB using Rufus. Download Rufus. After installing Rufus simply select the ISO file from the file manager and accept all settings when the popup window appears. Select MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI and If your laptop has UEFI bios then select the other two options. I also tried booting directly from the 2242 Windows disk by selecting it from the F12 menu, or by setting the relevant boot options in the BIOS menu.
