The hairspring is what makes your watch tick — also, sometimes it’s referred to as a balance spring. The minute giant. This is our Syloxi hairspring. Crafted from silicon and introduced in 2014 on calibre 2236, it is entirely produced inside our Manufacture. The unique geometry of this oscillator’s component guarantees the chronometric precision of the watch. I think Rolex has always made their own balance springs, and never relied on Nivarox. I believe (I might be incorrect) that Nivarox only makes flatwound hairsprings because they're easier to make consistently, and Rolex only uses Breguet overcoils because they have better positional consistency. Rolex produces their own hair springs. The research for silicon hair springs was funded by Rolex, Patek Philippe and the Swatch group. The three companies all have the rights to produce silicon hair springs.
Few of these are Rolex, Lange, Moser, seiko. But note that Lange is part of richemont group so it shares the hairspring out. From my understanding Orient also makes it movements but shares hairsprings with Epson group (which also owns Seiko). Rolex did not manufacture their parachrome blue hairsprings until fairly recently. I know the hairspring and jewels were two of the components that they had to transition out of when ETA decided to limit supply. A joint venture between Patek Philippe, Rolex, the Swatch Group and the Richemont Group has surrounded silicon hairsprings with patents. See Silicon in the watch industry, The great all-rounder.

Like all the metals used in their cases and bracelets, Rolex’s hairsprings are created in their own foundry, deep underground in the central Plan-Les Ouates laboratory in Geneva. Here, the niobium and zirconium are fused together in a high vacuum environment, at around 2,400°C.The hairsprings are made in Rolex’s own foundry at their Plan-Les-Ouates laboratory. As the name suggests, the Parachrom hairspring is a hairspring, but in true Rolex fashion, it’s not just any hairspring.
